At Nimmo Bay, we are a mama-led organization so it’s no surprise that we were naturally drawn to the local Mamas for Mamas organization based out of Kelowna, BC.
Nimmo Bay is family owned and operated business which started as a dream of Craig and Deborah Murrays. Back in 1980, they felt there just had to be a simpler way of life – one with more opportunity for connection to what matters most. With their young family in tow, they set out to create a life immersed in nature.
Family has always been at the very heart of Nimmo Bay – it’s where we came from, it’s our passion, and it’s our future. With Becky now leading the charge with her husband Fraser, Craig and Deborah’s eldest son, and raising their 2 daughters at Nimmo Bay, along with our office team of dedicated and driven mamas – families supporting families is just a natural fit for us and we are proud to support the important and inspiring work of Mamas for Mamas.

Mamas for Mamas is a national charitable organization that supports mothers and caregivers in crisis by providing ongoing support to individuals and families facing various poverty-related struggles.
The organization actively engages with multiple levels of government and non-profit agencies; together they are working to change the systems that contribute to the vicious cycle of poverty, mental health issues, housing, and food insecurity.
Mamas for Mamas envisions a future where no Mama or child is left behind.

$21 for 21 Moments of Hope Campaign
Launching: September 21, 2021
Mamas for Mamas are asking 10,000 strangers to become friends through their collective thread of kindness with a donation of $21, either on a one-time basis or to be a Mamas Champion and subscribe monthly to continue providing the hand up, not the handout, they need to fill the gaps in poverty relief services.
In reaching this goal of 10,000 donors at $21, Mamas for Mamas will be able to continue providing these moments of hope, these moments of triumph and these moments of no longer feeling alone in this journey of motherhood to families who truly have nowhere else to turn.
