Art in the Wild

There’s something magical about art made where the ocean meets the forest. In 2025, Nimmo Bay is turning up the creative energy with an extraordinary lineup of artists who embody that spirit. This season, we’re welcoming back beloved musicians, visionary painters, skilled makers, and world-class tastemakers to bring their talents to the wild and wondrous coast of British Columbia.

From legendary musician Jim Cuddy to the striking glassworks of Jesse Bromm, the artistry you’ll experience here isn’t just a performance or a product, it’s a connection. Whether you’re drawn to live music, inspired craftsmanship, or thought-provoking wine tastings, this year’s line-up promises something special. There are only a few select spaces left to connect with some of our favourite artists, so don’t wait to reserve your cabin.

Jim Cuddy

Jim Cuddy has written many of the songs that have become indelible in the soundtrack of Canadian lives. As a solo artist and as one of the creative forces in Blue Rodeo, Jim Cuddy has received nearly every accolade Canada can bestow upon a musician. This includes 15 JUNO Awards, and The Order of Canada. Along with his bandmates in Blue Rodeo, Jim has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, received the Governor General Performing Arts Award and a Star on the Walk of Fame.

His dazzling new sixth studio album, All The World Fades Away, is a focus on his life as an acclaimed musician with thousands of stories to tell, while also living in the present moment. Through great reflection, All The World Fades Away goes deeper, Cuddy is that rare musician with decades to draw from but whose story is very much still an arc in progress.

“You sort of enter a dream state when you begin writing. And I’ve begun to wonder why some images have stayed with me over the years and others haven’t. So yes, this album is about looking back,” Cuddy shares from his hometown Toronto. “However, I tried to make sure the record is affirming of life as it is now, reflecting how much I like where I’m at today. It’s not wrapping up or being nostalgic for old times. It’s just… surveying.”

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see Jim Cuddy at Nimmo Bay, June 12-16th.

Mo Kenney

Mo Kenney is a Singer/Songwriter from Nova Scotia, Canada with renowned lyrical prowess and memorable presence.

On their fifth studio album, From Nowhere, Mo Kenney embraces the textures of ambiguity and the rich blur of being, failing, and becoming. As they shift through lush arrangements that touch on dreamy folk, sparse alt-country, and warm, hazed-out lo-fi pop, everything is up for interpretation and nothing is fixed. In their lyrics, Kenney opts instead to defy definition, making room for non-linear and fragmentary sentiments. It challenges their own feelings about personal growth, acknowledges the slippery and shadowy nature of memory, and builds love songs that conjure the bonds of friendship just as much as they hint at romance.

Jesse Bromm

Jesse Bromm is the creative behind the design studio Goodbeast. He specializes in creating handblown glass objects in Vancouver, British Columbia. The pieces created at Goodbeast are functional but distinct, showcasing unique organic shapes. No two pieces are alike because they don’t ever use a mold when blowing glass. It’s a true celebration of the material.

He is driven by a desire to make us feel more connected to the objects in our lives. All while using recyclable and reusable material in the process. These are pieces that will leave a mark and a legacy.

Tony Grove

Tony is an artist and shipwright who focuses on the preservation of wooden vessels. Getting his first set of watercolours in preschool, in his adult life, he found a way to meld his two passions of painting and ship repair together.

When he’s creating, Tony draws his inspiration from the beauty of Canada’s coast. His muse are the boats that float on its waters. He’s is committed to documenting and capturing the history they hold on canvas before their lifespan continues to deteriorate.

“Intrigued by the myriads of hull shapes, styles and construction, I find true beauty, and then joy of artistic license, by using light and colour to capture the essence of the boats in my paintings.”

We still have a few cabins left June 12 – 16.

André Hueston Mack

André Hueston Mack is a sommelier, a winemaker, and wine educator. Before becoming a world-class sommelier, André was working a desk job. One day, he took a leap and quit the stable job to pursue his love of wine. Through hard work and dedication, André was rewarded. His accolades include Best Young Sommelier in America, and he grew to take on roles at some of the best restaurants in both California and New York City. His ambition spurred him on to create his own label. As a winemaker, he produces wine in Oregon’s Willamette Valley under his own label, Mouton Noir. It’s now being sold all over the world. Everything André does is to serve his mission of making wine more accessible.

André will be at Nimmo Bay August 18 – 21, there’s one cabin left!

Patrick Gavigan

Patrick is one of our absolute favourite musicians and is a mainstay for concerts at Nimmo Bay. He is a vibrant, upbeat, and versatile singer who thrives in live environments. You can expect to hear his signature voice which is inspired by soul singers like Sam Cooke and Stevie Wonder and modern-day poets like Bruce Springsteen and Nathaniel Ratliff. Patrick maintains a busy performance schedule and works for some of the top producers and songwriters in Vancouver. We can’t wait to welcome him back to the docks this season.

Susan Pearson

Susan Pearson is an illustrator, watercolour artist, and teacher who lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her work has been featured all over galleries and restaurants around the city. One of Susan’s main inspirations for her watercolour paintings is flowers. From a young age, she developed a love of colourful and fragrant florals. So much so that as an adult, Susan became a florist for 10 years.

“Nature amazes me. Flowers are like natural sculptures. I guess that is one of the reasons I like to capture them in watercolour.”

If you’re a fan of watercolour, you can still book for July 17 – 21.

Ryan Fogarty

Ryan has been chasing sparks for over 20 years. From welding in oil and gas, to working in shipyards, building breweries, teaching high school metal shop, and working for NATO. In the Fall of 2021, he decided to dive headfirst into blacksmithing. He was hooked, and Leechtown Blacksmith was born. When up at Nimmo Bay, Ryan gets to explore the whimsy and creative side of his brain when crafting products, like steak knives and sabres. Today Leechtown creates culinary tools and cookware to enhance your connection with food. This cookware is for the everyday, special occasions and circumstances, out in the wild, or in your home.
