What to Bring

Clothing

Please pack as little as possible - about 25 pounds per person. Bags should be no longer than 36 inches in any direction. Comfortable pants, shorts, shoes, shirts, sweater, warm jacket, long johns, swimsuit, and personal toiletries are all that you need. A laundry service is available for emergencies. Bring your camera, video, batteries, jacks and film. Oh, yes! A change of clothes is necessary if you should decide to participate in a great caving expedition! We have polar fleece snap jackets and vests for sale as well as T-shirts and hats.

Luggage

Because the space in the helicopters is limited, we encourage everyone to limit their baggage to no more than two pieces.  No square suitcases please, and the combined weight of both bags should not exceed 25lbs. To help you keep to this limit, please note that we do supply all adventure gear other than that which is listed in your itinerary and that formal or semi-formal attire is not a requirement at Nimmo Bay.

Note The 25lb luggage allowance can be exceeded. However, guests will be charged an extra fee to have bags transported to Nimmo Bay Resort from Port Hardy airport.

Fishing Gear

Everything is supplied. You may bring your own fly fishing equipment if you wish. Four and eight weight fly fishing gear is needed, depending on the type of fishing. Both floating and sink tip lines are used. Terminal tackle and fishing licenses are available at the lodge. Flies are for sale in the Pro-shop. We use custom fly rods and reels from House of Hardy.
